Owner's Description

First issue for Grand Liban: pick 4, 5 livres. A very rare bill. Front shows colored designs. Back side showing "Le Krak des Chevaliers" crusaders' castle in Syria. This is a medieval castle built around 1031 AD; it is also known as "Fortress of the Kurds". It is one of the most important preserved medieval castles in the world.
