Owner's Description
A blue paper denomination was issued in 1998, featuring various decorative patterns on the front of the five-dinar note. It includes a 2mm intermittent silver thread on the right side displaying the initials "Bahrain Monetary Agency" and a hologram, a shiny metallic layer with different colors. The design contrasts the defensive mentality of the past with a welcoming approach to the present. The front features Riffa Fort, built by Sheikh Salman bin Ahmad Al-Fateh in 1816, while the back shows Bahrain International Airport, a key hub for air transport in the Gulf.
