Owner's Description

The front of the 2nd issue notes has the most detailed artwork in the Fractional Series. Transportation and commerce is the theme of the engraving. Starting from the left, there are a couple of paddlewheel boats at the quay being loaded with barrels and burlap sacks by longshoremen. Behind them is a single mast sailing ship. To the right is a pair of horses pulling a loaded wagon full of crates. Behind the wagon are pair of horses, one black and one white. Finally off in the distance on the far right is a steam train. All of this on the small piece of paper. This note has a decently centered bronze oval. The reverse is centered to the left with the margin just touching the design. There are surcharges in three of the corners on the back.
