Owner's Description

Series 5

The front portrayed King Rama VIII at young age as main element, and a guilloche design, the ordination hall and viharn of the Phumin Temple, the ordination hall of the Marble Temple, a crown-top portral of the Phra Chetupon Temple, the Aisawan Thiphya-Art Pavilion, the Phra Prang of the Temple of Dawn, the Chakri Mahaprasat and the Dusit Mahaprasat Throne Hall as minor elements of each denomination. The back of all denominations depicted the side of the Grand Palace adjacent to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. There were 7 denominations: 50 satang, and 1, 5, 10, 20, 100 and 1,000 Baht. Each denomination had two types. Banknotes were printed by the Note Printing Works of Japan. They had been started using in 1942.
