Owner's Description
This 65 EPQ Gem UNC note is impressive. The front of this bank note features a portrait of William Lyon Mackenzie King the longest running Prime Minister in Canadian history. It also hosts the coat of arms of Canada and parliament. The note is red that can be appropriate since king created great trauma for Asians and Jews. That is a stigma he will not be able to ever lose. While in government and running policy he did create many wonderful things for our Social Security including baby bonus, affordable housing, fair income tax, unemployment insurance and welfare. He is still controversial for his racial policies that hurt many. I would not mind having him removed from our currency. The reverse of the note in this bird series features the arctic snowy owl on the Canadian tundra. It is a majestic landscape and one of my favourite pictures on banknotes. I had the pleasure of living with the Inuit for many years and seeing a snowy owl in its personal habitat.
