Owner's Description
This is my third $5 note added. I acquired this note a few years ago raw and ungraded at a Bowers & Merena auction. At the time, it was described as very fine, and that's how it graded when I sent it in. I was happy to get a 25 on this one, as it's probably close to the bottom of the range for a 25.
Why Gettysburg? This is what I call a vacation note. I like to acquire notes from places I have visited on vacation, and it reminds me of a very nice trip. We visited a few other places where Civil War battles occurred, but Gettysburg was quite an emotional and moving experience. If you haven't been there, I would recommend it highly.
