Banknote Displayed- No.57d*. ("Arrovo" Error Replacement)

* #57d. Towards the end of 2005 the Bangko Sentral released a small amount of P100 banknotes with a printing error, in the name under the signature, ARROYO is spelt ARROVO (see picture). This error appears on notes with the prefix's AK, AL and AM, the notes were recalled, but not until 2,140,000 had gone into circulation.
In a Bangko Sentral advisory dated Nov.18 2005 it is stated that the error notes ''are legal tender and should be accepted as genuine currency''. The advisory went on to say that the BSP had ''apologized to the President over the incident''.
These notes, although recalled, are not that rare.

Obverse… Manuel Acuña Roxas... (Jan.1, 1892 - Apr.15, 1948)

Reverse… New Central Bank Building
