Owner's Description

This is a well worn example of a $5 Gold Bank Note. From the First National Gold Bank in San Francisco, this note originated from the heart of the gold rush in California. It looks like it saw a lot of action in commerce during the gold rush era in the late 1800's. Acquired on ebay in July 2013.
