This note is similar to preceding Series E £5 notes (B357/B362), except that the £5 in the top left corner is darker and more clearly defined.

This note features the signature of Graham E.A. Kentfield.

Kentfield was the 28th Chief Cashier of the Bank of England, serving from November 25, 1991 to December 31, 1998.
