NOTABLE ABOUT THIS NOTE

This is the first Bank of England £50 banknote to feature the portrait of King Charles III, marking the first time that the Bank of England changed the monarch on its banknotes.

This note was nominated for the International Banknote Society’s 2024 Banknote of the Year award.
