The 67 EPQ grade confirms this as a superb high-grade example with exceptional paper quality, strong originality, vivid color, and excellent overall presentation. This example is a confirmed PMG Top Pop for the Pick #78as specimen type, placing it among the finest certified examples currently recorded by PMG. The prefix variety, specimen format, and elite population standing make this an especially desirable representative of the 5000 Bolívares issue.
This Venezuela specimen note represents the 1997 Banco Central de Venezuela 5000 Bolívares, cataloged by PMG as Pick #78as and certified Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ.

The note features a prominent portrait of Simón Bolívar at right, with the Venezuelan coat of arms, multicolor security engraving, and large 5000 denomination elements across the face. The design reflects Venezuela’s late-1990s high-denomination Bolívar series, a period that preceded the much larger monetary changes and redenominations that would follow in the decades ahead.

As an official specimen, this example carries the serial number format B00000000, with PMG noting the Serial Number Prefix B-C variety. The note also displays a bold red diagonal “MUESTRA SIN VALOR” overprint, identifying it as a non-circulating specimen issue. PMG notes the watermark as S. Bolívar.
