Owner's Description

This Venezuela specimen note represents the 2005 Banco Central de Venezuela 50,000 Bolívares, cataloged by PMG as Pick #87as and certified Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ.

The note features a portrait of José María Vargas at right, with an orange and red modern security design that reflects Venezuela’s final high-denomination Bolívar issues before the major redenomination period. The bold 50,000 Bolívares denomination and contemporary layout make this an important late-stage example of Venezuela’s pre-Bolívar Fuerte currency system.

As an official specimen, this example carries the serial format A000000000 0576, a red diagonal “MUESTRA SIN VALOR” overprint, and specimen number No. 0576 printed at right. PMG also notes the watermark as J.M. Vargas. The printed date on the face is 29 de Septiembre de 2005.
