Owner's Description

This Venezuela specimen note represents the 2007 Banco Central de Venezuela 20 Bolívares, cataloged by PMG as Pick #91as and certified Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.

Printed by CMV, this note is part of Venezuela’s Bolívar Fuerte series, introduced after the redenomination from the older Bolívar system. The design features Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi, one of Venezuela’s most important independence-era heroines, shown in a modern vertical-style format with a soft pink, violet, and rose color palette.

As an official specimen, this example carries the serial format A000000000 1804, a red diagonal “MUESTRA SIN VALOR” overprint, and specimen marking Muestra Nr. 1804. PMG also notes the watermark as L. Arismendi & 20. The note reflects Venezuela’s transition into a redesigned, redenominated currency system with updated security features and a new visual identity.

The 66 EPQ grade confirms this as a Gem Uncirculated example with exceptional paper quality, strong originality, clean surfaces, and excellent overall eye appeal.

This note is a valuable addition to the Planet Banknote Venezuela Specimen Collection: Bolívar to Bolívar Digital, documenting the move from Venezuela’s traditional Bolívar issues into the Bolívar Fuerte era and preserving an official specimen example from one of the country’s most important modern currency redesigns.
