Owner's Description

This Venezuela specimen note represents the 2018 Banco Central de Venezuela 200 Bolívares, cataloged by PMG as Pick #107as and certified Superb Gem Uncirculated 68 EPQ.

Printed by CMV, this note belongs to Venezuela’s modern redenomination period and features a vertical-style design with Simón Bolívar prominently displayed. The blue, green, violet, and pastel security elements reflect the updated design language of Venezuela’s later currency issues, while the 200 Bolívares denomination marks an important stage in the country’s rapidly evolving monetary system.

As an official specimen, this example carries the serial format M000000000 1244, a red diagonal “MUESTRA SIN VALOR” overprint, and specimen number 1244 printed on the face. PMG also notes the watermark as S. Bolívar & BCV. The printed date shown on the note is 13 de Marzo de 2018.

The 68 EPQ grade places this note at an elite level of preservation, with exceptional originality, premium paper quality, strong color, and outstanding overall eye appeal. This example is a confirmed PMG Top Pop for the Pick #107as specimen type, making it one of the finest certified examples currently recorded by PMG.

A standout modern Venezuela specimen, this note is an important addition to the Planet Banknote Venezuela Specimen Collection: Bolívar to Bolívar Digital, documenting the country’s transition into its later redenominated currency issues during one of the most dramatic hyperinflationary periods in modern monetary history.
