1914 $100 Federal Reserve Note from the San Francisco, CA, displaying signatures of Burke and Houston with fr# 1130, serial # L761456A and plate# D6/27. A slightly scarce piece with 88 known according to Track & Price. In spite of the relatively high census, only three Uncirculated pieces have ever auctioned. PMG has graded 24 examples without a single Unc, and only three AU above this 53. The note has incredible color, excellent margins, and great overall visual appeal. From The Thomas M. Flynn Collection. An ideal note to represent the type. The first $100 Federal Reserve Note was issued with a portrait of Ben Franklin on the obverse and allegorical figures displaying gifts and honor of the federal reserve.
