Owner's Description

Trying to complete a $5 design set. I thought I would buy a PMG STAR for the colorized version. Overpaid at $90 but it scored 600+ points due to the low print of 340,000. Completing sets in $1, $5, $10 etc and all the variations since 1928 is interesting when we had the gold clause of 1928. The lime green seals are an interesting variant as are the silver certificates and red seals. I enjoy collecting the recent variants such as the big head, then the colorized versions as BEP tries to up its security game. However, once you have collected a few FRN's from 1934 to 1990 it becomes extremely BORING to me. It convinced me I am a type collector to the bone. Collecting $1's or $5's with different block numbers or every variant of $1's and $5's from 1934 to 1990 with the only difference being the combination of signatures? It's a waste of good money in my opinion. I like the points from the star variants from 1934, however one can spend thousands of dollars completing this and then you have a stack of notes that look exactly the same. Doesn't make since. I am already regretting purchasing so many $2 red seals. I get bored looking at them all. Collecting is fun to see all the different TYPES of notes this country has produced. I am only looking at new types now. Instead of buying 20 notes at $200 per note, I now save all these temptation dollars for one awesome $4000-$5000 note!!
