Owner's Description
Continuous pursuit to finish the portrait set. Well, I don't think even the wealthiest collectors could finish the Hamilton portrait set as it includes three $1000 notes. That includes a couple of $1000 gold certificates as well. Not only are they rare but the lowliest grade is around $30,000. However, it is amazing to observe that when currency collecting became a force, obviously old, large notes were coveted. But recent notes since the 1950's when all U.S. currency was more or less standardized, they were so common that not many folks preserved a common old $10 note in GEM condition. This is a great example, only EIGHT of these notes have been graded!! This being the 3rd rank in grade. Amazing these relatively recent notes are so rare in uncirculated condition.
