The Sunshine Town, Newport, NH (pop. 6,500) is a small town (incorp. in 1761) nestled in the hills of the scenic Upper Connecticut River valley and southwestern New Hampshire, conveniently located between Interstates 89 and 91. The community is governed by Town Meeting, an elected 5 member Selectboard and an appointed Town Manager. Newport also serves as the County Seat of Sullivan County.
