Owner's Description

This is the only example graded by PMG, and PCGS graded two.

All notes from this late Thomas Davis issue are very rare in any grade. These bills are thought to be Rarity 8 (1-3 known). Printed on both sides on thick paper. At left is the Phoenix vignette with the motto, MELIOR RESURGIO, which translates as, 'I return improved.' Border cuts are all around. The back is perpendicular to the face with text and ornaments. Broadly margined on three sides and complete at the left.
