Obverse: Tomomi Iwakura (1825 - 1883). Sakura cherry blossoms.
Obverse Color: Blue on multicolor underprint.
Reverse: Mount Fuji - Fuji-san -12,388' (3,776 meters) - symbol of Japan. Sun symbol - Bank of Japan seal.
Reverse Color: Steel blue.
Watermark: Sakura blossoms and wavy lines. Predominant colour: Grey-blue. Signatures: Red signature seals.
Issuer: Bank of Japan (Nippon Ginko).
Date of issue: 1 November 1969.
Ceased issue: 1 April 1994.
Material: Cotton paper.
