Owner's Description

These Series F banknotes have used the same design as the 2nd emission 1979 Series E banknotes.

I believe there was a total of 9 million of these banknotes issued through two separate decrees. This is a low 3 digit serial number variety (511) however I do have what I believe to be high numbers that are in the 8.9 millions range.

They have continued with the same design from the previous 1979 Series E and will continue this for the 1985 Series G banknotes. Featuring the portrait of legendary poet Ruben Dario on the obverse and the Ruben Dario Popular Theatre on the reverse. The 500 Cordoba was the only denomination that had continued to use the same images on both the obverse and reverse continuing on from the previous governments issues from the 1960s and 1970s.
