Owner's Description

These newly designed 50 Cordobas notes for Series B for 1995 carried forward a similar images from the previous 1990 notes however they are trying to bring the series design more inline with that of the 1, 10 & 100 Cordobas notes.

There was 6 million notes produced for this emission as listed in the decree from the Flores book.

Just like almost all the previous 50 Cordoba banknotes dating back to 1929 and continued through to the current releases purple is the dominant colour. The only note that wasn't purple was the 1985 (1988) issue which was featured red tones. Pedro Joaquin Chamorro's portrait is featured on the obverse of the banknote. Chamorro is featured on the 50 Cordobas banknote from 1990 through to 2006.
