Obverse: Shotoku Taishi (Prince Shotoku) on right
Obverse Color: Dark brown and dark green on multicolor underprint.
Reverse: A pillar painting of Hoo (Chinese phoenix Fenghuang) in Byodoin Temple in Uji (Kyoto Prefecture)
Reverse Color: Brown. Phoenix at left and right in underprint within ornate frame.
Watermark: Yumedono Hall (Hall of Dreams)
Issuer: Bank of Japan (Nippon Ginko).
Date of Issue: 1957
