Owner's Description

A scarce note to find in any grade. This specimen is in Fine 12 Net grade with tape repair.Even in this condition it is an amazing note when you consider that Benjamin Franklin brought this Marbled Edge paper back with him from France. He also printed this Currency for the Continental Congress with the hope that a Marbled edge paper would reduce Counterfeiting.Signed by James Read and James Milligan with a serial number of 10542 out of a possible total of 11800 notes printed.
