Owner's Description

A very high graded near perfect banknote for this era. The front of the note has three wonderful vignettes. The left vignette honours the Nova Scotian Men of the Deep who are seen toiling in the coal mines of the province's main industry. The rigjt vignette highlights the heritage of the sea showing a sailing schooner on the Atlantic off the province's coast. The larger central vignette shows the Nova Scotia provincial shield crushing a magnificent stag that can be found in the highlands of the famous Cabot Trail. The shield also has a native warrior sitting beside the shield who may have wielded the shield in the fatal blow of the stag.
