Owner's Description

Addison, NY The Merchants NB Ch. # (E)5178 PMG 15 Stained $5 1882 DB Fr. 537 SN 1508/H850445 pp G/75 dtd. Jan. 24, 1899. Beautiful penned signatures in black ink of W.A. Cronk, Cashier and J.S. Harrison, President. Well circulated but still more than acceptable for the grade for this tougher upstate, Steuben County bank. The village and the surrounding town are named after the author Joseph Addison, English essayist, poet, playwright and politician.
