Owner's Description

First issue by the Banque de Syrie et du Grand Liban. Lebanese notes issued between 1925 and 1935 have Grand Liban printed on top, while Syrian notes have Syria printed. This is pick 1, 25 piastres. Front shows beautiful ornate design with geometric shapes and decorations. Back side showing the mills of Hama in Syria. This note is one of a group of UNC notes discovered around 2012 or 2013 in very good shape, thus the high grade (PMG64)!
