Owner's Description

Charleston, WV The Charleston NB Ch. # (S)3236 PMG 20 $20 1902 PB Fr. 650 Radar SN 51215/U571833D pp B/458 dtd. Aug. 1, 1904. Faded, but legible signatures of R.E. Eskins, Cashier and Isaac Lowenstein, Pres. remain. This Kanawha County bank issued in excess of $13 million in National Bank Notes, more than the five other Charleston charters combined. Still, only ~45 large size notes are known to be available to collectors from this most populous city and capital of WV.
