Gp 15iii Carrollton, IL The Greene County NB Ch. # (M)2390 PMG 63EPQ $5 1882 Value Back Fr. 574 Repeater SN 4525/T412412 pp G/144 dtd. June 7, 1898. Heritage Auctions description for a $5 BB on The National New Haven Bank Ch. # 1243 stated "To our knowledge, this particular Old English letter layout of this title is unique among National Bank notes [it is NOT]. It is, like the famous "Circus Poster" layout, very appealing." 'National,' here on my Carrollton note, is the same old English style although CARROLLTON is found in a modern font within a tombstone.
