I can only really speculate on what US Bills would have been in circulation in Zimbabwe at the time of the dollarization and the abandonment of the 3rd & 4th dollar in 2009 and in what relative quantities.

Given the timing of the collapse of the Zimbabwean currency, mostly occurring from 2005 to 2009, I think both the updated-but-not-colorized and colorized designs of the US $5 note would have most likely been the $5 designs in circulation in Zimbabwe at that time - in addition to US $1 bills and lower denominations of the other currencies mentioned as circulating in the country instead of a national currency by 2008/2009, of course. I think the older US bill designs from before the big redesign of the currency at the turn of the millennium would have already been mostly out of circulation by this point and would not have been seen as much.

One US note I explicitly do not include in this set, even though it has technically been in circulation throughout this period, is the US $2 bill. There are plenty of US citizens that do not realize there is a US $2 bill currently in production and issuance. I cannot imagine there were many $2 bills brought into Zimbabwe and I have not seen any photos or other information to disprove this assumption.
