Owner's Description

Tilton, NH The Citizens NB Ch. # (N)1333 PMG 15 $5 1902 DB Fr. 590 binary SN 1011/M700853 pp G/135 dtd. Mar. 21, 1905. A moderately circulated large size note from this Belknap County bank with dark stamped signatures of A.T. (Arthur) Cass, Cashier and E. (Enoch) G. Philbrick, President that remain bold. This is the second title for this bank having started in 1865 as the Citizens NB of Sanbornton; Kelly lists only 1 note with the first title. In 2/19/75 the 2d title was adopted for series of 1875 $5s, $10s and $20s as was the practice through small size nationals. From the David F. Noyes Collection
