Owner's Description

Washington, DC The National Bank $1.25 DC300NL125PP Proprietary Proof PMG 66EPQ Plate A PMG 5014287-013 dtd. Aug. 4th, 1862. A great odd-denomination note, this $1.25 features a portrait of Andrew Jackson and at right, a young lady with curly hair. Another unusual feature, which was rare on federal issues until the Civil War, is the use of engraved signatures of J.W. Northerman and E.T. Latham, occupying the Cashier and President's positions, respectively, but unlabled as such. Back is unmarked. Printed as a Sheet of $1-$1.25-$1.50-$1.75 G6-G8-G10-G12.
