This is only the sixth large size note to be reported from this scarce Lancaster County bank and the first $20 Red Seal. It has a couple of minor repairs noted by PMG, but the red overprint and signatures remain bold. Features Repeator SN 1616.

Galveston, TX - The First NB Ch. # (S)1566 PMG 15 $20 1902 DB Fr. 643 SN 9668/B60011A pp B/180 dtd. Sept. 22, 1905. The stamped signatures have mostly faded, although Fred is legible for Cashier Fred W. Catterall and he was paired with President R. Waverley Smith in 1915.
