Owner Comments:

Brass, Reeded Edge (Ciani-718 variety). Extremely Rare. NGC MS62 ex. Chirico Collection, where I was the high floor bidder at the live auction. The sale had low estimate on material that had not seen an auction in a very long time, if ever. The prices realized were often multiples of even the high estimates. A great sale!

NGC is now calling this Brass, (previously called gilt bronze by Bowers and NGC) - (I have no idea where anyone got that information to begin with).
NGC actually sent me the metallic testing results which resulted in Brass (Copper 85.92%, Zinc 14.02%, Iron 0.031%)
