TOKEN BACKGROUND:
Token uses by “Sharp’s” in Eagle, Colorado for 10C in trade circa 1930. Pritchard notes the establishment as a pool hall.

There are two varieties of the Sharp’s 10C denomination; both are somewhat rare. Type I (bow on the obverse) as seen here, and Type II (sideways 8 on the obverse). Pritchard estimates ~55 examples of the Type I are known to exist, whereas 24 examples of the Type II variety are believed to have survived. As mentioned, both are somewhat scarce in terms of trade tokens; however, the Type I seen here appears to be slightly more common. Their associated catalog numbers are listed below.
