MASONIC ISSUE APPEARANCE/CONDITION:
Choice Uncirculated+ — Designated “Proof Like” by NGC
*Beautiful commemorative medal that has maintained brilliant lustrous surfaces throughout its lifespan - Obverse devices look nearly proof-like in contrast to the almost mirrored background fields -- Areas of light oxidation can be seen on the obverse/reverse.*
MASONIC ISSUE BACKGROUND:
Issued to commemorate the Diamond Anniversary of Colorado (1876-1951). The reverse commemorates the 'El Jebel Temple' in Denver. The temple was the headquarters of the Colorado Shriners, the Thirty Third Degree Masons who belonged to the A.A.O.N.M.S. (Ancient Arabic Order of the Mystic Shrine.)
