ANCIENT CELTIC BRITAIN. Armorica (Channel Islands and NW Gaul). CORIOSOLITES, uninscrbed coinage. Circa 75-50 BC. Billion Stater. 5.67g 22mm . Celticized head of Apollo right / A celticized bird-headed horse right, boar below ; remains of driver with Victory above. D.14 ABC 70 (VERY RARE). VF. Struck on oddly shaped flan ; high silver content ; minor stable green area obverse ; unusually clear (and appealing) obverse portrait ; mounted horse, including forepart, clear and attractive as well.
