MEDAL APPEARANCE/CONDITION:
Uncirculated: Details (Improperly Cleaned)
*Despite this issue being improperly cleaned, it still retains an overall alluring eye-appeal. Light marks from the cleaning are evident in the fields on both the obverse/reverse. However, they appear to be minor. The example most certainly was not “harshly” cleaned. — The detail of the specimen is still strong/sharp. Although, not fully lustrous, the light grayish color is gentle and pleasing. I have come across several additional silver examples; however, I am uncertain if it’s worth submitting for grading again, even if it came back problem-free. — Matches its bronze counterpart of the same design which is also included in this collection.*
MEDAL BACKGROUND:
Issued circa 1970 to recognize the centennial of Pueblo, Colorado. The medal also references Pueblo as the “Sunsational City.
