Owner Comments:

MEDAL APPEARANCE/CONDITION:
Brilliant Gem+ - Pedigreed #519 (Engraved on Edge of Medal)
*An exceptional looking specimen with an interestingly unique design on the reverse; a design tactic I have rarely seen struck in this particular fashion, as the outer edges of the reverse have a beautiful, complex webbing design which are incredibly sharp/defined. — From a grading perspective, the specimen has virtually no marks, spots, blemishes or imperfections. One would imagine a higher overall grade upon close examination.*

MEDAL BACKGROUND:
Struck circa 1982 to commemorate the centennial of Grand Junction, Colorado. — However, upon historical research, it appears the Grand Junction centennial was celebrated in 1981 (see event guide in “Historical Description” below). Yet, records confirm the official centennial was indeed 1982.

RARITY: Unknown; Likely scarce
NGC Census not available.
