Owner Comments:

The Triumvirs. Octavian. Late summer 30 BC. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.84 g, 5h). Uncertain mint in Italy (Rome?). Victory standing right on prow, holding palm frond and wreath / Octavian, holding reins and branch, driving triumphal quadriga right. CRI 410; RIC I 263; RSC 75. Attractively toned, a few minor marks beneath toning. Good VF. Well centered.

Ex-Charles Chamberlain Collection. Ex Triton XII (6 January 2009), lot 533. (Source: CNG catalog)
