2013 Year of the Snake
The coin’s obverse depicts an adorable representation of a baby snake with a festive wreath and decorations. The Chinese character for ‘snake’, the inscription ‘Year of the Snake’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and the year-date are also incorporated into the design.
The coin is issued as legal tender under the Government of Tuvalu. The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year-date and the monetary denomination are shown on the coin’s reverse.
