1900 and 1901 1/4 piastre issues were smaller in diameter (21 mm) than previous issues (21.8 mm), although they had excactly the same weight.
OBVERSE: Young head of Victoria facing left and wearing a coronet ornamented with oak and scrolls.
REVERSE: 1/4 within a beaded circle.
ENGRAVER: Leonard Charles Wyon.

EDGE: Plain.
METAL COMPOSITION: Copper 95%, Tin 4%, Zinc 1%.

Well struck front and back with nice chocolate-brown color and traces of luster.
