The San Antonio Missions National Historic Park Quarter was released on August 26, 2019, as the 49th coin in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
Located in Texas, the San Antonio Missions Historic Park was established on November 10, 1978, and features four Spanish frontier missions (Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada). The coins reverse pays tribute to the missions through stylized symbols in the four quadrants representing farming (wheat symbol), community (arches and bells symbol), Spanish culture and heritage (lion symbol), and irrigation (river/water symbol).
