Owner Comments:

A bit of an uneven pressure during elongation resulted in a egg-shaped distortion, with sharp details at the top of the obverse, and weaker at the bottom. Indian head on reverse rotated 90 degrees from obverse features, with date clearly visible.

Martin & Dow P&PC 12a. Distinguished from open die P&PC 12 by smaller spectacle frame, which is below eyebrow.
