According to the CGC Census Report as of Tuesday, August 22, 2023, out of a total of 339 Universal copies graded, only 44 copies were graded in 9.8 with 0 copies graded higher!
With these statistics in mind, this represents a rarity factor of only 12.98% of the total population.

Published in June of 1981, Frank Miller (penciller) & Klaus Janson (inker) rendered a phenomenal Daredevil Vs. Kingpin battle cover! Displayed on a jet-black background, Daredevil is executing a flying sidekick and punching Kingpin in the head!
To bring this scene to life, the caption on the bottom right-hand corner reads: ONE MINUTE FROM NOW…DD WILL WISH HE’D STAYED IN HIDING!
Furthermore, Daredevil #171 features the first time Daredevil & Kingpin met—let alone had their first head-to-head fight!
This is of major significance, as the Kingpin—played by actor Vincent D’Onofrio, starred as the main Daredevil villain in the critically acclaimed Marvel Daredevil Streaming Series (2015-2018)! Therefore, Daredevil #170-#172 represents the initial Daredevil Vs. Kingpin trilogy; brought to life by Frank Miller, which helped to evolve the storylines to appeal to a broader audience with darker and more mature street level content!
Moreover, although the CGC label does not highlight this historical information, Daredevil #171 can be considered a significant KEY issue within the iconic Frank Miller run, as it represents the 1st meeting of Daredevil & the Kingpin!
In closing, I purchased this PERFECTLY WRAPPED & CENTERED copy from Mr. Chris Lee (via Instagram) in April of 2022! I am super proud to own this immaculate copy and look forward to watching it appreciate each year!
