Owner's Description
Of all of the crossovers up to this point Marvel didn't really impress me much. Civil War pissed me off with the oh my God I can't believe we did this, All of the X-Men ones were, shrug my shoulders ehh!!! Reign and Siege didn't really do it for me especially since the Sentry was made into a little cry baby by the end, World War Hulk read really well and surprisingly I liked it, and Fear Itself didn't live up to this awesome ending that I was picturing. But the Avengers vs. X-Men ending honestly was pretty damn good.
Throughout the story I think there was a lull here and there but the story for the most part was pretty well written and really got me excited about comics and the what next idea. Splitting the Phoenix Force between those five particular was a great choice, the iconic father dying by his sons hand was amazing, and watching Scott Summers grow into the bad guy after all this boyscout time really was a smiler for me.
I enjoyed it but more so at the end when it just seemed like everything came full circle and my want to follow all of the Hope lines finally paid off.
No More Phoenix. While this won't be the end of the Phoenix this was a fitting touch in closing the House of M story line.
All in all this was the one cover I was sad to get. Mainly because I had already heard that Uncanny Avengers was going to have like 50 Variants and all I could do was stare at my wallet as the wind took my money to comic land.
Update: Yeah as the above said money has officially been taken to comic land. in the reverse image is a the inked original art by Adam Kubert featuring the Scarlet Witch and Hope tag teaming the Dark Phoenix Cyclops... That doesn't sound right.
