This is one of those books that is a must have for any Captain America fan.
When I first got this book, I then went out and got reading copies of the appropriate Tales of Suspense issues to get the full story.
The beginning of the book is nice because it features Cap being found in the ice by the Avengers.
And in case you didn't notice, it's signed by Stan "The Man" Lee and Joe Simon, Co-Creator of Captain America!

Another classic cover from Jim Steranko.
Even though his run was very short, it's influence on the character is even felt up until today.
All of that, and it features the death of Cap's public identity.

Even though John Romita Sr. isn't credited on the label, I've been told that he redrew the head for Captain America for the cover.
And on another note, I just had to have a CGC SS copy of the 1st app. of the Falcon for my Cap collection!

Falcon gets his "modern age" costume. And it's just another great cover, signed by John Romita Sr. I had the pleasure of meeting the writer of the issue, Gary Friedrich who has done many stories for Marvel. His work on Cap is very memorable for me.

This cover is special to me because it's one of the earliest Cap covers that stuck in my mind. Having a copy of this issue was one of the first ever Cap back issues I ever purchased. And it's easily one of my favorite issues.
I had the pleasure of meeting the writer of the issue, Gary Friedrich who has done many stories for Marvel. His work on Cap is very memorable for me, also signed by the Legendary John Romita Sr.
Mike Friedrich is labelled incorrectly on the cover as the author of the issue. I was hoping they would correct it when the book was resubmitted, but it simply was not.

Signed by Sal Buscema. Despite the lower grade, this issue is actually one of my favorites for it's part in the Secret Empire storyline that features a crossover with the X-Men, and eventually leads into Cap quitting!

Signed by Sal Buscema. This is yet another awesome addition to my collection. This issue marks the conclusion of the Secret Empire storyline that ends with the leader of the Secret Empire killing himself in the White House right in front of Captain America! These evens would eventually lead to Cap quitting and donning the Nomad costume for the first time. This is one of those milestone moments in Caps history, and I'm so happy to add a signed, high grade copy to my collection! Thanks goes out to joeypost for this!

I like this issue because it's one of the first issues after Cap takes up the mantle of Captain America again after the Red Skull kills the young man who tried to take his place.

Signed by artist Sal Buscema and superscribe Chris Claremont! This cover, in my opinion, harkens back to the Golden Age Cap covers with Cap amidst a group of soldiers firing on him.
In this issue, we learn the "fate" of Sharon Carter. Thankfully, she didn't really die, and she was brought back and still in Cap comics to this day.

This issue features the classic story of Cap being presented with the idea of running for President. Not too much fighting in the issue, as Cap ponders about his role in America and his responsibilities as Captain America.
One of my favorite issues for sure.

Signed by Roger Stern. This anniversary issue features Cap's origin retold and slightly modified for the modern age.
It retells some of Cap's earlier adventures and also when he is presented with the round shield to replace the Golden Age one.
