Set Description:
In high school, two of my close friends identified with Batman and Flash, respectively. It made sense to them, when deciding I needed a hero of my own, that I am clearly Green Lantern. I didn't personally identify too much with any of the Green Lanterns in particular, but my friends had anointed me and it was done: a lifelong love of the character was born.
I was already a lover of comics (mostly Marvel, DC, and Image), with a primary focus on anything focusing on the cosmic side of the various universes. So Green Lantern was a natural character to focus on. I love that there are no real limits to comic book storytelling, and the cosmic stories really highlight how limitless the medium can go.
Green Lantern is the centerpiece of my collection, and I now have a collection of all GL comics from Showcase 22 through today. I have only a few CGC and will be working to grow that aspect of my collection. I do have other comics as well and enjoy a broad collection of comics and also 80s toys.
