Set Description:
Daredevil does not just abruptly end at #310, like my other set. It is the one I started first, but like it, these issues are full of the kind of blind justice. LOL There is room for doubles! We have got to push it for 70 more issues. Complete with the latter tales that might not have had the same kind panache, but nonetheless, are very collectible and we can make it work without even breaking a sweat! Keep it rolling, rolling, rolling!
Many have tried to best him, but the best team up with him instead, from the Punisher to anybody with the foresight to see the good in a "Daredevil." He delights to impress, and he has the goods!
Starting around the Silver Age of Comics, comes Daredevil and the "Man Without Fear!" Riding the storm wave, he takes up for truth and Justice to serve and protect. Well versed in the landscape with friends that hearken his cause and call! It takes some writer ingenuity, and a whit added that makes for some storytelling that has lasted decades. Those that will do and those that cannot, teach. Such is the well placed in time dwelling of the office and practice of a Daredevil! By leaping a proclamation for the will of the people, it then calls toward a hero that may be blind himself but will lead them. Laws in place will institute a cause of origin, that too can blind as is stated in the first issue, when those that take up a cause are held responsible, and we find ourselves in an ongoing hero tale, comes again the Man Without Fear as a Daredevil.

Origin and 1st appearance of Daredevil (Matt Murdock). 1st appearance of Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. There is a turnabout we find ourselves in when life changing events test the gospel within us to prove what is that good and acceptable will. When the law firm and as a lawyer are Daredevils occupation, Matt might find his newfound condition a hindrance or some help, depending on where he grounds himself for JUSTICE! Trusting in Faith and that it takes not only us to overcome but to see the events before us as opportunities to work out that salvation, even in blind justice. Such has befallen Mr. Murdock in the ways in which love is the tie that binds, while friends will come together and work out the marveling acrobats that it takes to instill a hero mentality. Not always easy, but the Good News is in the details and fine lines of years of travail that has put before us, "Daredevil: The Man Without Fear!" An event that promises that even the smallest seeds of hope while being in trials can leave us with a purpose, that is to carry out what we have Faith in! God knows we couldn't do it on our own, it takes the trust and patience to have that acceptable right standing perfected!
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released to theaters of "IF!" Matt Murdock's father's funeral is in this issue, which many children would, like in this film of "IF", try to expound to others the benefit of friends and even if it is the "imaginary" variety. Coping and searching oneself to be self-evident. Believing is seeing the childlike faith and seeing is believing in childlike faith, but Daredevil will live to trust the spirit of TRUTH AGAIN! By starting a law firm, Murdock will need the childlike faith to see the good in everyone and to stand firm in justice, which is when you've put away childish ways but have also discarded the critical spirit that weighs heavy in exchange for hope! Starring Deadpool's own Ryan Reynolds, who has a fun attitude and is fun loving in real-time too! Keeping that hope and joy alive, while being "mature!"
Grader Notes:
heavy creasing to cover;
heavy tears to cover;
moderate staining to cover;
small chip out left bottom of cover.

1st appearance of Vibranium. Ka-Zar, Zabu and Plunderer appearance. Origin of Ka-Zar and the Plunderer. Vibranium and ADAMANTIUM, the debate continues!?! Can it be that these 1sts are needed in the collection? Yes indeed, but neither can fully explain the heroes they are involved with; nor, the villains. Times they are a changing, and we can keep the old with the new, all aboard! The Captain America shield, the Black Panther, and the other characters boasting of skill who have utilized the Vibranium (now with a capital "V") deserve the honorable mention for the boost! Vibranium sleek and new, oh ADAMANTIUM what will you do? All these metals and their inspiration to keep relevant will pass the time around the campfire, and the debates will always be, "Who's hero is still capable without them!?!" Answers short and sweet to the questions we no doubt come to create!
Complete with a back cover picture of Zelda: Ocarina of Time! A "Link" statue that takes us back to missions throughout the Zelda universe of picking wild berries in order to obtain all the "heart containers", as it is a long journey! Similar to this Daredevil issue where the man without fear loses his abilities and or powers, so Kazar feeds him some potent wild juju berries in order to regain them! It amazes me first how many seem to acquire powers, but secondly, even more so, when those powers falter, how easy it is to just flip a switch to having powers AGAIN!
Grader Notes:
light wear all corners of cover;
moderate creasing to cover.

Classic Kirby Cover. Partial Origin of Daredevil Retold. Slugfest of two giants, and all in the ring! Keep it ring side for the "Battle of the Year" As advertised on the cover, we couldn't have imagined it on our own. A Half Price Books Find for cheap enough to read. Glad I got it for fun, as now I'm hooked on Kirby Classics! Submitted through the LCS, I had no idea what I was doing, just liked the thought of the slugfest. How can they be in a ring? Is it a paid show? As friends or sparring partners? How is it they have costumed up in public, and what is the gist of the whole experience? I unfortunately was too excited to sub it to read it. I may have to look it up digitally. Speaking of digital, the coloring and or art on moderns would not accentuate this copy so well. I get that Jack Kirby, sometimes, can be an acquired taste, but it IS VERY DRAMATIC AND IN YOUR FACE! If you ask me.
Complete with the Ringmaster World Champion the Undertaker for the back cover picture, also featuring me and my brother who is 6 foot 5". Got at Fan Expo Dallas 2022. Yes, indeed the thrill seeker added to the roster last minute was a must for a photo. A tall, tall behemoth standing in this corner at 6 foot 10" the Undertaker!
Grader Notes:
moderate foxing back cover;
moderate tanning interior cover;
small crease right top of front cover breaks color.

Gil Kane cover. Due to this slab mix-up at Half Price Books, I found out that Wednesday was new comic book day at the Local Comic Shop, back in 2016! Seemingly, Daredevil caught unawares being zapped by the inventor of a machine! I found this at Half Price Books, fairly priced for the grade, and a fair cover from an artist like Gil Kane. I'll take it! I showed it to the cashier, and he didn't know why it was in a "case!" He initially tried to take it out of the case upon checkout, I guess that he thought it was a security device! Weird, I tried to explain to him what it was, and he just nodded and rang me up. Still glad I made the purchase; I want to support when Half Price Books has in slabs to ensure that they'll obtain more! They have since upped their game in slabs, but with prices that sometime match, unless it is an extreme case where you have a coupon, and it is something worth grabbing.
Complete with a back cover picture of the Wednesday Prescreen pass that was a full month before it was released to the public, but only one episode, the first one, an event that was on a Wednesday as well.

1st Appearance of Bullseye, a classic Daredevil and Punisher villain. Seemingly always trying to get the drop on people and going to any lengths to do so! Certainly, a deadly adversary! Even in modern comics, the lengths gone to by this adversary, Bullseye, are the dire straits of villainy. Sometimes weapons held in keister's. These are the tools and they're deadly accurate. Indeed, the tempting Bullseye doesn't waste time getting to the point in speech, and usually he is more subtle and strikes to catch you off guard. He is an expert assassin, the Bullseye, but we know Marvel and their "Heroes", that are always on a path of self-discovery and can somehow make up the difference. To deal with the new attempts of crime and even upon their lives, they'll keep reinventing the "hero" type of character! A hole in top of spine? It is amazing how some things like these are in grader's notes, but glad they are notated for sure.
Complete with a back cover picture of, "Assassin's Creed: Origins!" A "figure-pin" picked up, free from GameStop at one of their midnight releases for video games. Bullseye is the "psychotic assassin", and Assassin's Creed is the game that tries to rehabilitate those would be assassins into becoming a more productive citizen in any society. Both comic and video game pin are of "ORIGINS!" While the gameplay of the "Creed" is of a dream like scenario with simulation sequences that prove all too real if not successful in a mission, Bullseye lives the occupation of being an assassin by playing games himself and utilizing techniques. Both show being confident can get you very far!
Grader Notes:
hole top of spine;
spine stress lines;
very small crease right top of front cover.

Start of Frank Miller's run on Daredevil, it begins, as notated on the CGC label. Origin & ""death"" of Death-Stalker. Black Widow appearance. That eerie by night cover! Daredevil has done it now! Spelunking has caused his detective skills to cause some backlash. What is the daring to do? When the Frank Miller has started with his epic cover and spine-tingling chills, it'll take instincts to kick in! Yes, this is the start of an "epic run" that is talked about unto this, the day it enters my collection in Near Mint Minus. A classic issue of sorts for the time period and from a hobby changing artist. I bought this from the Dave and Adams website in 2022 for $222 shipped, which I'm glad to have finally obtained, and it fits well with the other Miller examples in the collection. Who springs on the uninitiated at night, in a graveyard? Beware the Daredevil! It all starts here from issue #158, with that moody type of blue and grey coloring.
Complete with a back cover picture of a raw of the First ever Daredevil Frank Miller Art, in Spectacular Spider-Man #27 as notated on that books CGC label. Given to me in the boards Gift Exchange circa 2023 by boardie, "Grendelbo!"

1st Elektra and her Origin. She is a lover and a fighter and knocker of them out! Very skilled, Frank Miller brought the first portrayal to life that impacted Daredevil to make history. I'm glad to own it and to know of its importance to the Daredevil Universe. It is a most important moment to DD, relationship wise, and therefore to me! Elektra came out when I was young, and it was all mixed up as to how she would be involved in Daredevil's life! Mr. Miller is making what would soon be history, by debuting his involvement on a new character in the Daredevil series. Friend or Foe? It takes experiences once again to draw to the core, determining results after the two get acquainted. Electra keeping her edge the whole time. Who doesn't love her outfit? Seems of a Ninja Descent? Perhaps stealth is her motto, with that jump on the Daredevil!
Complete with a back cover picture of another Ninja Assassin but in film this time, which brought to us the agreements of rentals. Who do I pay for this again? Those are the examples in comics and film that this nunchaku and Sai have accomplished! An extreme suffering sometimes, but with honor?
Grader Notes;
light spine stress lines to cover.

Origin & 1st appearance of Typhoid Mary (Mary Alice Walker). Kingpin appearance. Doubling upon copies of this issue due to convenience . As Typhoid Mary has Daredevil clinging to the straight and narrow, he's had enough of the games. The villains are going to the infirmary to take it easy for a while, too, because Daredevil needs some down time. In the end the "do good" guy, Daredevil, will keep it hopping with the justice. Not all thoughts or intents and purposes are made intentional, but we must do nothing blind and without precaution, that would make us as reckless as a "Daredevil!" It would seem that way sometimes, but going with your gut and getting punched in it are two different things. We cannot have too much irrational behavior in the hero business. Always keep the timing and be prepared to give an answer for yourself, as it is the number 1 priority. Bought this from Duncanville Bookstore for around $25 to $30 raw and it has been sitting in my raw boxes. They had it at 9.2 and I didn't press, so it is nice to see it get graded as advertised!
Complete with a back cover picture of following issues in the #300's that test the stamina and integrity, keeping Daredevil with a hot step! "Fall From Grace!" With a prologue in tow that is quite the leap forward! Eventually in the arc featuring Venom!

Who doesn't love an annual? To have at least one in each major set, when it is available, is a fun idea and a goal! Got to keep it alive! Bought this in 2023, when a boardie and friend Chad was visiting from Australia. Glad to have it happen on free comic book day weekend too! Picked it up from Local Comic Shop Awesome Comics, for the cost to slab of $30! This and one other, to close out the week. At first, I was thinking that an annual only at issue #4 from a series that originally started in 1964 was odd, and in 1989 it seemed a long time to wait to get that small of a number. I had to do research to see if Daredevil had flown under the radar for so long, but as it turns out, it is for the year 1989, specifically! Then the Daredevil series skipped #5 annual altogether ha-ha! Good to know. Glad to add more Daredevil anytime and learn something new as well, annuals in the registry with two #4 slots and a specific note of "1989!" Maybe they saw Prince coming ha-ha, for a decade later! Glad that Chad was expertly picking up "raws", but I needed a slab to commemorate!
Complete with a back cover picture of, the video game from PlayStation, "Crash Bandicoot Koozie!" Aku Aku is the video games magic icon mask that is relaxing all cool until the "magic" shows up to extend life and other powers that be, Dr. Strange is that embodied token! You looked for them for extra lives and a bit of ability in the supernatural, although the real diligence was in the ingenuity to get past the obstacles without getting burned. Koozie icons like Dr. Strange help a Spider-man keep their cool! A small refresher from the CGC Video Games Division.
