Set Description:
Newsstand Alert. Seemingly available at any given time, but so scarce that it would be a spare few, it hasn't caught on as quickly by the same means. Newsstands are still a niche per se here in 2022, but we've got the gumshoe on the case here, in NOIR! Making it nostalgic for those not so modern times with comics on the shelves, other than at Local Comic Shops! Giddy!?! Giddy Up! Here comes the rodeo, serving up some Spidey.
Noir could simply mean detective, although that would be my opinion. At least a certain kind of storytelling that is a bit detective or mystery, enough to call a character "Spider-man Noir!"
Spider-man once again being the loner but out and about type of guy, has to get by on camera and or detective duty work somehow. Skills that need put to good use by the hook and crook around town. It isn't always a paying gig, but it can make for a noir and good read, even if limited in series, it doesn't need to be the definition of the whole series. These black and white tales seem like romances in the rain, is it like that for all noir is a small thought to consider. Noir made by Spider-man was new at this point and didn't off put the mood by much for a darker or brooding type. Just a spider by night in a new style or vain. Spider-man isn't smug or anything, but he can spin a yarn for writers, and I rather like the art from illustrators. It all kind of comes together for a nice collection pick-up!

Newsstand Edition. 1st appearance of the Spider-Man Noir. Bought quickly at Local Comic Shop Titan Comics. These are the ones that aren't in as good of shape sometimes, and other times that means cashing it in at the bank of nostalgia with no credit card required; although I got this raw and graded for under $100. All in all, an impulse purchase at its best and I'm hoping to win out in rarity. Collecting at this time, would have me buying this off the stands as well! It looks like a great read. I was really only expecting maybe a 6.5/7.0, but I knew it looked a little better than that. Definitely didn't press, as it wouldn't have helped the creases, but it being a modern, the rest of the book is in decent shape so that it stays a 7.5 without being over graded per se! Win, Win! I'm Happy and I know it, and that is the bottom line!
Complete with a back cover picture of, well, those impulse "purchase" nightmares, and where we try to become self-grown heroes! Causing us to instead be content and led day by day! As one step at a time and line upon line, we find our needs met precept upon precept. Sewn up to the hilt with handmade hero costumes, such as Spider-man Noir, to instead fight the good fight! Whether by the noir hero inside us, or as told in these Great Depression Spider-man "noir" comics! A visit by me to Fan Expo Dallas circa 2024!
Grader Notes:
moderate bends to cover;
moderate creasing to cover;
moderate spine stress lines to cover.

Newsstand Edition. David Hine & Fabrice Sapolsky story. Carmine Di Giandomenico art. Patrick Zircher cover. By happenstance and no saved searches, save being led by the Spirit to pay down bills, and now to have spent some more. All in all, those thankfulness leadings that bring about the goodness of Spirit and the willingness to be led by and instructed to keep diligent in well doing! Bought already slabbed issue numbers two through four at $125 a piece, rounds out the set by already owning a CGC 7.5 of issue number one! Keeping in tune and submitting those wills of our own to a higher power and cause, it really brings out the joy when seeing the fruit of those prayers. Abiding in the vine, while taking in these noir type theatrics and it only calls to mind the mysterious, and one could say it supernatural when believing for such! Faithful and True.
When stories are set in a Great Depression world, things are hard by any means, and it takes all those necessary attributes of the goodness and kindness to find footing. As the back cover picture insides from a direct under copy show the bite in this book and its tenacity. Don't be fooled by this series, as it is monotone to a point, but while the art in this series is consistent and can startle, be not dismayed as this world is overcome!
Grader Notes:
spine stress lines cover;
crease right bottom of front cover.

Newsstand Edition. David Hine & Fabrice Sapolsky story. Carmine Di Giandomenico art. Patrick Zircher cover. These were all impulse purchases and time ticks by with a complete set. First picked up the issue number one at a local comic shop on impulse and have now found issues two through four at $125 a piece already slabbed! That has some nostalgia for convenience when it wasn't on the roster to find easily, but after anticipation and the buildup, on impulse it is! Thankful and grateful to see somewhat a completion to this set, although there are variant covers to consider. The variants wouldn't have newsstand issues available, as they would be considered to be in local comic shops only or to my knowledge. Direct and newsstand distributions all had their locales and fashion fads as well the Spider-man being sought after for being a noir sleuth and having detective prowess!
Complete with a back cover picture of those timelines with the "screen" at the prescreen before released to streaming of, "Loki: Season 2!" Only the first two episodes at the screening, but still enough for me to get Disney streaming and enjoy the follow up episodes. After being dragged into the Multiverse by the Inheritors, "Spider-man Noir starts rounding up the biggest and worst villains", guns and ammo no problem!
Grader Notes;
spine stress lines cover.

Newsstand Edition. David Hine & Fabrice Sapolsky story. Carmine Di Giandomenico art. Patrick Zircher cover. Back water turning wraps up the story and the regular issue distribution via the newsstands! Biting off more that I can chew when paying down the cost, but impulse wins out on issue numbers two through four bought at $125 a piece. Fits so nicely with that number 1 issued newsstand that I've had to budget and make it happen. Spider-man in this noir piece or phase. What a fad or fashion it is to say that these eerie tales could take the Spider-man to some dark foreboding, if not just foreshadowing the inevitable detective nature that is the ever so sarcastic Spider-man. Back in Black! Taking his own risks and showing off those skills to become the ninja like way of shadowed secrecy and making the alley ways and seeded crevice's once again safe in the friendly neighborhood!
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass to see the movie before released publicly of, "Fast & the Furious: Fast X!" Well, there comes a time to learn of family, which the Spider-man Noir now sums up to having lessons and keeping those thoughts focused, as well in times of heartache and that for the Great Depression. Taken a back at some circumstances, it is indeed all a back water turning, repenting and recanting. Focusing on the enemy's retribution, but the heart of the hero needs always to be steadfast in all things.
Grader Notes:
crease top of back cover;
bend right bottom of whole book.
